Bill Gates (1999) - Technology at the Speed of Thought

The “Digital nervous system” (quite a holistic, systems theory approach to business) is an integrated combination of hardware and software systems designed to help run and continuously improve the company.

The DNS aims to facilitate scanning capabilities, including monitoring the competition and customer needs, and to organise timely responses.

It creates synergies with the information input into this system and the accuracy and immediacy of responses differentiates the DNS from a normal network of computers.
