LeadershipTransformation of leadership style Shin and Zhou (2003) considered a link between transformational leadership and employees' creativity in 46 Korean companies. They observed Intrinsic (task) and extrinsic (leadership) motivation. It was discovered that increased transformation leadership encourages employees to challenge the status quo and boost follower creativity. The study suggests a statistically significant link in Korean firms between transformational leadership and employees' creativity was a prerequisite for adaptive management in a Korean context. This is contrary to the "traditional" management focus, suggesting development needs in the modern Korean firm. |
