McClary (2006) - Ikea in RussiaIkea is building Mega shopping malls in Russia, for which it is best known here. The first Mega mall was in Russia and the firm is now expanding its malls into other places, such as Kazan, one of Russia’s 13 “million cities” (cities with more than 1m people). So far the Mega malls have been very successful, with 50m visitors every year. Ikea wants to build 17 Mega malls in Russia, two of which will be in St Petersburg
