Other considerations

In international business, other considerations might include the geographical configuration of activities, which can be ordered in terms of concentration and dispersion.

By concentrating activities in few locations they will be easier to co-ordinate and the firm may benefit from any economies of scale. By dispersing activities across more locations, transport costs may be reduced and the firm can reach the market more easily. However, it can inhibit co-ordination.
