International structures

• Export department

• Mother-daughter structure

• International divisional structure (such as product or geographically-based)

Global structures

• Functionally-based (structure is based on business functions, for example, a despatch supervisor managed by a production manager, who reports to a production director, who is ruled by a managing director)

• Product-based (a type of divisional structure, based on a limited product range)

• Geographically-based (a type of divisional structure, based on dispersed operations)
