Risk Assessment

"The number one risk factor in any organisation is lack of accurate information"

All companies face three key areas of risk:

  1. Customer risk
  2. Market risk
  3. Operational risk

All three risks derive from a lack of information. The less information a firm has, more it puts itself at risk for a crisis.

Option Value

Option value is the evaluation of possible future crises and potential returns for taking all different possible paths, weighing up their impact and probability.

It is a risk return analysis which covers multiple futures of multiple relationships and investments. It is related to game theory, as the fact that it examines relationships means that it works out what other players are going to do in the future and can use that information to plan its next move.

It must be remembered that every interaction, connection and transaction carries with it a potential risk.
